I finally uploaded some pictures. Sorry it's
taken so long.

These first couple are from a week or two ago.
The baby blanket is actually pink and white.
The red thing is the background for the heart
blanket. This is the second block.

OK, these pictures are today. The baby blanket is
finished, washed and dried, photographed, and put
in a box to mail to my grandbaby.

The heart block background is coming along,
needs to be 11 inches long I think.

This is the lace shawl, I've just started since the
baby blanket is done. I'm not positive I like the
lace stitches, but I will keep slugging along I think.

So, sorry for the long not posting. I will try to better.

This is the first heart block of a heart block blanket I'm working on.
It's not the best knit I've done. The hearts look squished especially
the dark red one. It's the first intarsia I've done.

I know I haven't written on this blog in a long time, but I will try
to do better.

I've started the next heart block. It's a red background which I'm
working on now, with 3 icord hearts sewn on to the background. I'll
try to put a picture of that when done.

Thank goodness today was sunny. We've had so much rain, it was
nice to see the sun. Although I went to my knitting guild tonight
and the sun was setting and really annoying for the trip down.
Of course it was dark when I came home.

So, will try to post several times a week.

This is my new grandson. Isen Ruizhi Duan Porter of my son Ben,
the father and his mother Dennise. Isn't he adorable? 9 lb.
and 21 inches.

Well, I have been reading. I downloaded 4 books to my Kindle.
Interesting that the only one I really like is the one I had
to pay for. The others were free. I was reading it for hours
but it got so exciting I had to take a break.

I just got the pattern and yarn for a fair Isle vest. I just
found the needles it requires, so just have to get up the nerve
to start knitting. It's just a tad scary. I got the kit from
Knit Picks. If I ever do start knitting, I will take pictures.

Lately I've been eating when not hungry. Need to get better
at doing that and stop buying junk.

Not much going on today. I did start reading
the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin today.
Not too exciting yet. He's talking genealogy
at the moment.

I ordered a Beginner's Vegetable Garden today.
It will have 9, 3 inch pots of veggies and then
a lettuce 8-pack. It will come at the right
time for planting here in the Poconos.

Getting a bit better at eating when hungry.
Another week or two, I might just have it
down.

I did my grocery shopping today. Got it all
done in one store today. Sometimes need to
shop at 2 as one is out of something. When
I was at the store produce section, there were
no bananas. Weird. None. So did the rest of
my shopping, and then went back to see and
yes they had restocked the bananas. They must
get a new shipment on Tuesday's, so they clean
out the old ones before restocking.

I'm not doing too well, with the eating only
when hungry. Been sitting here at the computer
eating junk. Shouldn't buy junk I suppose.

I downloaded a book from the library, it's an
old Nevada Barr book that I've read long ago,
so it's nice to have it read for me on an
audio from the library.

Gee, twice in a day.

I think I found what to make. It's a Curly Snake
from Knit Net which took it from Itty Bitty Toys,
by Susan B. Anderson.

It's cute and made with fingering type yarn,
otherwise sock yarn.

I goofed with my signature on my email posts. I put the
email instead of the site URL. I think I've fixed it, as
my friend in Denmark, noticed it and told me about it.

I finished reading Hiding in Plain Site. It was very
good, and couldn't wait to finish it.
Now, the next one is Witchy. Not sure what that is about
yet.

My eating is slowly, very slowly eating when hungry.
For breakfast I managed it, but couldn't tell when I'd
had enough. Since then I've been eating, first cookies,
then a pop tart, and then a piece of Italian Bread with
butter. Guess I'll have to wait a while for lunch.

No knitting as yet. Still thinking about that.

Well, I am trying to eat when hungry. It is not
as easy as it seems. When you've been eating
whenever you wanted, you never think about
being hungry. I didn't eat dinner last night
until around 7 PM or so. Fed hubby when he
came home from work, but I wasn't hungry then.

I didn't even think about whether I was
hungry or not this morning. I just ate
breakfast when I got up. Odd.

I'm taking an online class called,
Jumpstart on Health. They want me
to start exercising slowly. So I
walked outside around the house,
as the driveway goes all the way
around the house. Walking down
on the roads is dangerous. I did
only 2 minutes which is twice
around.

The class also wants me to keep
a food diary. I all ready write
down my food for Weight Watchers,
and don't want to keep 2 food logs.
But the class would like us to
keep track of Mood and Who we eat
with, and a few other things.
Any ideas?

I finished reading U is for Undertow,
which was good. Now I'm reading
Hide in Plain Site. So far, a
woman is driving from the city
to Amish country as her sister
was hit on a dark country road
and was in the hospital, when
she had an accident to avoid
a buggy with kids in it. A
man with a truck, got her out
of her car after it struck
a ditch. He took her to the
hospital. Interesting so far.

Here I am at a new blog. I got tired of just talking about knitting, so this
one opens up more things.

I am reading Geneen Roth's books. I've had them for a long time. She writes
about Eating When Hungry and Stopping when comfortable. You stop dieting,
I lost 68 pounds with Weight Watchers but can't seem to lose more with it.
So, I am trying to feel hunger. I've hardly ever stopped eating long enough
to feel hungry. I did notice Sunday after church, my stomach was growling
and I was hungry. Then, you have to figure out what your body wants. Some
of the things you need to ask are: Sweet, Sour, Salty, spicy bland, smooth,
crunchy, creamy, noisy, hot and substantial or hot and liquidy, fruits, crackers,
nuts, cold - drink or eat? A little crazy to ask all those questions all the
time. I guess sometimes when your hungry, you know what you want. Evidently
Geneen says you may gain at first, eating all those things you never let yourself
eat. But keep eating when hungry and you will lose. So, here we are, I am trying
this and will let you know how it goes. So far today, I haven't waited for hungry.

I did my shopping today, and bought a couple of those things that I haven't let
myself eat. So, I had a 4 cheese french bread pizza. It was OK, but would have
tasted better maybe if I had been hungry.

I'm not knitting at the moment.

I am reading, both Geneen Roth's books. The one I'm reading now is 'Breaking Free
From Compulsive Eating'. I am also reading occasionally from my Kindle, a
book by Sue Grafton, 'U is for Undertow'. I've read all her books over
the years mostly in Book Form, as I just got the Kindle last March.
